What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which uses fine needles inserted into the body to stimulate specific points to help treat a variety of health conditions. Acupuncture was traditionally described as an approach to healthcare which helps the body bring itself back into balance through the manipulation of Qi (energy) and treating imbalances of Yin and Yang. Imbalances can be viewed through a modern lens as such things as muscle strain/injury, sleep disorders, headaches, adrenal fatigue and the effects of chronic stress.
